A Mississippi Wedding

The Day Before
We were as hot as Matthew McConaughey in A Time to Kill. Wish I had pictures of the Asian men doing our nails at Wal-Mart for $45 (rip off), but they're on someone else's camera.

Ladies in Waiting
The old roommates, Susanna, Melissa and myself, bought the tulle, glitter love hearts, fabric glue and crown at Wal-Mart, took it back to the Ramada, spread it on the parking lot and made a big mess - to everyone's glee who drove past us to comment. Apparently, we were remembered from the Wal-Mart by passing customers, also staying at the Ramada.

The Bachelorette Tierra
As predicted, we had a tulle revival! We bestowed the crown at Corky's BBQ, and Katy wore it proudly all night.

Bachelorette Blur
The rest of the night was a bit of a blur, as we cut cute southern boys in caps in line to get to the Budweiser and Miller Light.

8 Girls in a Car
Scary. Be very afraid of a mountain girl from Tennessee who now lives in the sticks of South Carolina driving all the friends of one person. Still very sober, we forgot that after the boys and family left us at the restaurant, we didn't have a ride back to the hotel. Oops!

The Dress

Designed by a New York designer (not me!), this dress was beaded and hand-made. Very 50s. Very pretty.

The Husband
Isn't he cute?

The Bar Maids

That's us! The designers of the Bachelorette Tierra! Always happily working and happy to drink all the Yellow Tail in the place. Yes, I am wearing one of my designs, but you can't see it behind the bottle. ;)

The Band: The Delta Mountain Boys
Live and in person, the Delta Mountain Boys kept us hoppin' all night. One has a base built out of an upside-down tin tub and a coat rack. Very fun!

The Texas Two Step
Wrong state, but it was an attempt.

The Circle
The only way to dance to blue-grass with all of your friends and family in one place. You have to dash through the circle with a different move. Another one of Katy's roommate's, Jen, and I ran out of moves, so we invented the Dash Board Hula, inspired by the dashboard hula girl on everyone's car dashboard. We used our southern fans as a prop. No pictures, though. We're patenting it.

This was a beautiful wedding and a beautiful way to celebrate the union of two people. Congratulations!!!
