Push Presents

Interesting...I was watching Access Hollywood last night (such a guilty pleasure) before settling in to work on a website, and learned about "push presents" which is little bits of jewelry given to moms from the dads to congratulate her for doing such an outstanding job in labor (or through the surgery of a c-section). Moms out there - do you know about these delights? They can be gold, diamonds, silver, blown glass, whatever jewelry makes you happy I guess. I think it's so sweet! Has anyone gotten one? I want a push present!

Damn straight I know about these gifts although I didn't know the name of them until our jeweler told me the name when we were looking at new Tag watches for me after giving birth to Caitlin. As much as I love being a mommy and a wife, it is TOUGH and PAINFUL (and the most wonderful thing because you get to have your baby =)) to give birth (after months of being tired, feeling quesy, throwing up, etc.). Why shouldn't men/husband's reward their wives for all their hard work and pushing? After all, they did get them into that situation in the first place. Yeah for Push Presents! I know what a Push Present is..,I doubt, however, that my husband does, so I don't think that pink diamond cross will cross my palm!!! Perhaps, I should give him a little push!

I love the "Damn straight!" of the earlier post. Clevanders are so to the point!

Sometimes men (boyfriends or husbands or brothers or fathers) need to be pushed. However, I would NOT recommend nagging them- THEY DO NOT LIKE IT! We women deserve a hell of a lot for giving birth to children, especially if you go DRUG free- it AIN'T easy but so worth while.

No, nagging is a bad thing and rhymes with gag. Pleasant hints are preferred, I would think.
