If you MUST wear white pants, and risk the day's dust and lunch skipping down your leg, please wear straight and/ or wide-legged pants with a cuff or long cut. Floods are good, especially with a chunky cuff at the bottom, and long belt loops.
As for shoes? Try these daintly little delights from Seychelles! Seychelles are my favorite affordable shoe right now, and have the best musac to listen to while you browse...and if you need to find your size, do a Google search for "Seychelles (enter name of shoe here)".
Seychelles' "Pretty Little Thing" (search for stores to order)
Seychelles' "Touch Me" (search for stores to order)
Seychelles' "Pink Lady" (search for stores to order)
Seychelles' "Mistress" (search for stores to order)
and oh! Seychelles' "Name Dropper" (search for stores to order)

What does this have to do with anything?
Silly kitten! Read the title! It's called "White Pants - what shoes?" It has to do with what shoes to wear under white pants.
Now, if you're question is: why does this matter? Well, that is a whole different matter into itself. Why people want to wear white pants, I don't know. Unless they are Mark Twain. But otherwise, beats me. :)
SO, what exactly is it that you are trying to say here?
What is this deep resentment you hold for white pants?
and in terms of my original comment "what does this have to do with anything?" - I was refering to the bigger anything, if you know what I mean. Whats really going on here? This blogger stuff is really making me question my already slipping grasp of reality.
Blogging really doesn't have to do with anything, unless you want it to. ;)
At that point, dear Anonymous, you will have to question your own reality, as I am quite grounded in mine. Besides, yours is probibly not as slippery as you think.
The purpose of this website, if you must be told, is to communicate with people in a colorful way, things such as nice brands of shoes, that I happen to know about just because I went skipping past the store one day, bought the shoes, and wear them everywhere.
As for white pants, I just feel that they generally make people glow in an awkward way. Especially if they are white khakis, have pleats in the front, or are tapered. But now that you ask, white pants can have quite a nice, shocking, effect. If worn with the right shoes and are the right length and are made of the right fabric that hangs just so.
Isn't all of blog land lucky to have your little version of What Not To Wear.
Who wears white anymore, anyway?
Q
I really just don't know. It really was just Mark Twain who could really pull it off. Or Dianne Keaton, but that gets a little strange, even though I am a fan. And then there's that Wolfe guy. It's an interesting statement, really.
Here's what my mom says about Seychelles:
"What a kick when I landed on those Seychelles at DSW. They are so comfy it's all I can do to not run over and get them in black and brown. But I'm sure that would be a major fashion faux pas. Plus they are cutest in white I think."
One cannot have too many Seychelles! I walk all over New York in them!
