Dara of FashionJunkie.com pulled me aside at this party given by personal stylist, Alexandra Stylist, and requested a private meeting. A private Jeni's ice cream meeting. FashionJunkie is a New Yorker who also knows of and loves Jeni's ice cream! Alexandra is also a Jeni's fan (Dark Chocolate, and the dangerous Black Coffee), so I ordered the ice cream online, and it came, no joke, in under 48 hours, packed in dry ice. I hailed a cab and carried the box of "imported" delicacy into this New York fabulousness. What ensued was basically me as a barrista for 6 pints of ice cream for hipster chics and their men when the band stopped playing. And the band, Leighra, also loved the ice cream. Thanks Jeni's!

You're hysterical!!! This blog post made my day! It was so great to officially meet you at Alexandra's party last night.
I think we should start organizing monthly Jen's ice cream parties. In fact, I would be happy to kick-off the first soiree in July once I'm settled at my new Dumbo apt.
By the way, if you haven't already tried Jeni's Gravel Road (a.k.a. salty caramel), I highly recommend it.

Were you girls actually thinking about leaving Auntie Melanie out of the ice cream party? I am so there! Dara - such a cute pic of you!
I am an ice cream lover as well. I attended the University of Wisconsin, which is of course the dairy state. I follow the ice cream trail all over up-state New York & the Berkshires and plan to blog about some of my great finds this summer. Count me in on any new ice cream events. My spoon is ready.
