Dinah Search 2005

Dinah, the inspiration for the FashionMista, was recently lost! She didn't know she was lost, she knew she was successfully climbing trees and hiding under logs and having a ball. But it was her first time outside in the big country. Being a city cat, she'd never been beyond the mini lobby outside our apartment door, unless she was in her lambs-wool lined Sherpa cat carrier.

Here's the release of her return home:

"12:39 am, Cleveland, OH - Just when I uncovered the leather couch in
final acceptance of Dinah's having moved on to another home, she has
reappeared! A vicious lightening storm drove Daring Dinah from the
dark, fox-owl-and-hawk-infested woods of Moreland Hills into the garage
to be let in after the other cats, Buster and Stinky, scampered in
from the night into the kitchen. Dinah looked ever so pleased with
herself, expectant of a warm rug on which to dry her soaking fur. Does
she know that Gerdy has left without her? Does she care? Back in the
kitchen, the moth flying into the cupboard and was much more important
than talking to me on the speaker phone, so we shall see how she
fares, the little bugger. Thanks to Mom for listening to her midnight
intuition when she expected to see Dinah on the other side of the
garage door during such a night, and let her in without Dinah making a
peep.

For all those Dinah lovers out there, some background: Dinah was named
after Alice's cat in Alice in Wonderland, who was the one who, I
believe, chased a bunny down a hole, which prompted Alice's big
adventure.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and heroic efforts in the Dinah Dragnet."

Eh-hem.. "Dinah" is really only her stage name. Her real name full name happens to be Phillis Cutters.

Phillis Cutters? That name is of my past, but I can't remember where it's from...

"Phillis" is from the office, you should know that. "Cutters" is the name of the street where a sickly runt of a kitty was found in the storage room of an old run down farm. That cat has it made, thats for sure. Its a true rags to riches story, if you asked me.

Well put, Anonymous. I will address this story in a further post.
